Kitty Hawk Real Estate Listings
Kitty Hawk is the first town encountered after crossing the Wright Memorial Bridge, and one of the oldest settled areas on the Outer Banks. When the Wright Brothers first arrived, they stayed with the town’s assistant Post Master until they later moved their camp to a large sand dune in Kill Devil Hills. As one of the original communities, homes in Kitty Hawk range from classic beach cottages to modern Outer Banks vacation homes as well as many year round and second homes. The beaches are relaxed and welcoming and offer a number of public beach accesses with parking. Since the resort area grew up around the Beach Road, it’s lined with convenient stores and restaurants. To the west, the Albemarle Sound borders Kitty Hawk, and water access and a boat ramp is located on Bob Perry Road. Three notable parks in Kitty Hawk include Sandy Run Park on The Woods Road that has a half mile loop walking path and boardwalk and Kitty Hawk Park on W. Kitty Hawk Road that has a challenging skateboard and bike bowl and dog park. The Sea Scape Golf Links is located on Eckner Street and is open year round. Enthusiasts will experience an 18-hole links style course that winds through sand dunes and maritime forest.
